2020, Roquette Ventures eyes protein sweeteners from MLS.

French investment firm Roquette Ventures (part of ingredients company Roquette Group), which supports start-ups in the food, nutrition, and health markets, is looking to scale up production of plant protein sweeteners made using precision fermentation.

MLS secures process patent in major markets for Brazzein.

MLS has secured broad patent coverage for its proprietary precision respiration process being currently used to scale-up Brazzein. The patent has been granted in the US, UK, India, EU and China. (*Pending Chinese PTO queries).

2025, MLS Scales Up Brazzein

2025, MLS has successfully scaled up Brazzein to pilot scale at its CRO’s facility in the UK and is the process of further scaling up the molecule with the goal of establishing a robust industrial process.

2026, MLS invited by the UK Biomanufacturing & Pharma SME delegation.

In Feb, 2026 CPI led a UK Biomanufacturing & Pharma SME delegation in India, bringing together innovative UK companies, industry leaders in India, investors, and government partners. Magellan was chosen by the British government amongst the top 20 innovative companies.
